I believe the guy is Gary Ehlam (sp) in Arizona. Maybe Bluegill knows him. IF I recall correctly from his postings on this about 5 years ago, he bought it from ACME Outfitters, a small company (side business)owned by a nice guy named Jon Cleland. Gary had some problems with fitting it, and if I recall correctly, it resulted in a slightly worse departure angle (albeit with a much stronger bumper to hit). Gary was more pleased with John's efforts to correct things than he may have been with the bumper, but I believe he kept it on the truck. Gary is still on the NCRC Mendo list and someone might inquire there.

Good Luck

Hi Chris,

I do have a Kaymar rear bumper on DI with spare wheel carrier.

It's a tough build (tougher and thicker than any front ARB).

It does not enhance your departure angle, and I won't say it is worse. I think they made it to look really like the stock one.

But this one can take serious bashing on trail without bending, I can tell you.

The thing is, in the states, you have a square rear trailer hitch welded to frame that we do not have on european models. We rather have a kind of ripper claw hanging on the rear that kills the dep. angle.

So for my part, the integrated square trailer hitch on the kaymar was really good and enhanced a lot my departure angle.

Sure I would love to get a better dep angle... but the kaymar save the rear end a lot of times.

Regards.

Erik.
