Winter is coming and it is time for another oil change in my Disco. I was wondering what brand of engine oil and viscosity people are using in their D2's and D1's in preparation for the coming cold months.

What would be the best compromise between startup pumpability and film strength protection? Temperatures where I live routinely hover between sub zero and thirty degrees Fahrenheit in the mornings during the winter

I would be interested to know what viscosities people are running and their reasons for running it. Better gas mileage, less wear at startup, better protection when warmed up, etc… Everyone has their own personal preference when it comes to oil but it would be interesting to know what people are using and thinking.

I use Mobil 1 5w-30 year 'round. We have sub-zero winter temps., but I have a heated garage. If the cars stayed outside, I might consider one of the "zero" weight Mobil 1 products.
