mother nature was just helping with his bumper install by removing the stock one and giving it a nice tumble wash so all that dirt and dust will not fall in his eyes...

I also saw this. We were watching the weather channel and I told my co-worker that only a rover would dare to venture at a time like this. They showed footage of it driving in the bad weather. Next thing they show is this picture. ARRRggghhghghh Co-worker is like hmm so much for that.

Oh Well...

I have to say I have been impressed by the amount of water some of the photos of jeeps and cars and mini-vans are driving through, I wonder how many make it 50 feet past the point of the photo???...

But this guy must have been really stupid to tempt fate more than he needed to.

Jack,

I bounce at a Strip club off metropolitain parkway. And yes I have thought about joining SOLAROS and have the web site book marked and about a year ago started to head up to a meeting but work called me in and I didnt make it. I work 5 and 6 nights a week mostly monday though saturday so Its very hard for me to get up to a meeting on the 3rd Wednesday of the month if you know what I mean. But I looking at some free time and I am starting to setup my Disco the way I want now. So I will probly take some time off to make a meeting in the very near Future.

Seeing that pic made me think of the article in the new Land Rover World with the floating/pontoon D90's. Wouldn't that have helped?

(Or just made it get swept out to sea)

:-)

That was my truck. I had just pulled two news trucks out, and we were all trying to get away from the ocean when the dunes went (they made it, by the way, in a cherokee and a ranger). It was fun while it lasted, but not really. My house should be in that picture up the road, but I'm afraid it isn't there anymore. Next time I'm not sticking around to help the newsies out. Hope everyone else is safe in the NC/VA area. Still picking up the pieces in Kitty Hawk.
