I was trying to replace my antenna. I unscrew the collar that holds the antenna when suddenly...oops, the stem fell inside the fender. I tried accessing the inside of the fender from different entry points but was unsuccessful. There is got to be an easy way in. Can somebody help? |

In the fender well, there are some plastic rivets. If you look closely to the rivets, there is a center piece, find a flat head screwdriver and pop the raised center out. Once you get that out, you can pull the rest of the rivet out. You can access the inside part of the fender after removing a few of those. |

Porter, thanks for the tip. When you said the fender well, you mean underneath the fender above the tire, right? |

Can those rivets be put back into place or I have to re-rivet the plastic piece back? Also, what after market antenna will be compatible for a 96 Disco? |

whoops, sorry there. I ment wheel well under the fender, and yes if you're careful you can reuse the plastic pieces. When mine broke, I just went back to the dealer, the non-powered ones are pretty cheap - I think somewhere in the 15 dollar range, but don't quote me on that. |

You're wasting time taking out rivets. Fish it out with a coat hanger. |
