Yo, ahemmmm... Here's some algebra... Installing a Flowmaster 50 Series + a long 3" chrome, angled tip - removed resonator - $150 outta pocket = DAMN! That's all I can say....What a difference! It sounds and feels (via the low freq. rumble) like my Mustang GT did! I got a throaty V8 again... the guy @ Mieneke was amazed, too. I insist that all of you who are interested, but haven't done it...DO IT! It's worth it! Ciao, W2 99D1 |

FWIW (and everyone always asks for pix), here's the S.S. long tip, which replaced the resonator.

lookin sharp there Will, but one little piece of advice: you may want to shorten that extension up a little bit or it could easily get crushed or ripped off on a rock or embankment. If it gets crushed or scraped up a bit, no big deal...you just replace it or lop off the end. But if it gets yanked, it could pull the exhaust system and cause some damage beyond just tweaking the chrome. How is that tip connected? Welded? |

After I saw the finished product, I thought about the same thing...no deserts here in Florida...lotta mud and tree stumps, some mild dunes in Ocala Forest. But for $15, it was worth it for the tip. Yes, it's welded. Thanks for the notes! Ciao, W2 |

Will, did you ever get the new tires? The ARB's would do a lot better without the firestones |

That stainless looks nice. Just for comparison: I recently did the back of Y pipe back on my 95. Had a muffler shop that bends pipe make a custom pipe behind a 'turboflow'(?) muffler. The good part was he made the pipe custom, tucked way up high outta the way, w/a short end/galvanized. No re$onator. 166 bones. That included replacing a leaky gasket at the right exhaust manifold. |

Oliver - FWIW: I had 265/75 Bridgestone Dueler ATs put on today! BIG DIFFERENCE, literally! I adjusted the steering bump stops @ 1/4" - no mo' rubbing. These really fill out the wheel wells nicely and appears to be better balanced I am gonna try and run to Osceola State Park this coming Friday with Florida LR Club and try 'em. Ciao, W2 |
