As some of you may remember, my 4.0 took a dump a couple of weeks ago. Well, I am on my way to replacing the motor and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on other things I should do to the Truck / motor while I have it out. Thanks, Mark |

If you decide to keep it a Rover V8, get a cam, get the heads worked, match the intake and manifolds to the head. There is alot of potential in there. If you need a cheap new 4.0 block, let me know. |

Mike, I haven't pulled the motor apart enought to look at the cam and see exactly what parts I need to replace. I know i need a block, crank and pistons. I have looked around on the net a little bit, and I haven't found anyone that sells aftermarket cams for rovers. I would definately be interested in some more information on the 4.0 block. Please email me when you get a chance [email protected] thanks |

Aftermarket cams - don't look under Land Rovers, look for cams for a Buick small block V8(4.0L) - they're out there! |

I would think so, the stroke and bore must match for V8 4.0. Try someone like Summitracing.com, or others... Try a Crane Cam search Good Luck! Tell how you do! Ciao, W2 99D1
