Folks, The transmission on my 94 is making some new noises, especially when I put it in gear to pull my boat up the ramp. This goes WAY beyond the typical Rover clunk that we're all used to. Anyone have a ballpark estimate on repair/replacement of a 94 DI 3.9 Auto?? Anyone had one done recently? What am I looking at? TIA, Chuckster |

Its easy to strain a transmission pulling boats up ramps. Is fluid fresh have you tried low range? |

I recently did a transmission replacement on my 1995 discovery. Total cost for a new trans and transcooler installed was $4,000 |

Thanks guys, yeah Chris I know that will stress it out, but it's also clunking on normal shifting too. My fluid levels are good, but maybe I should flush and have it checked out. Thanks to all for the info. Chuckster |
