I am driving a 96 Disco I (300TDi). I noticed that whenever my car is going downhill, the handbrake indicator light will turn on. It goes off when the car at level.
I checked that the brake fluid is at maximum level. The brake is working normally.
Is this normal for all Disco I? Or is this indicating that my brake pads have worn off?

Okay. I found the cause. My brake fluid is near Mininum Level. I was mis-reading the level earlier.
