Okay, I put in a set of Bosch Platinum +4's about 5k ago because they were suposed to be the best. At first I had a slight gain in power but nothing to write home about. Now it's running rough and I have a serious loss of power. I have now been told that Bosch plugs are the worst you can buy. I'm putting the factory plugs back in. What plugs have you guys used? What works well in a 4.0 Rover? |

I put the stock plugs back in. The vehicle runs much better, but my service engine light is on and theres a sulpher smell from the exhaust. Maybe the cats were just clogged? Can anyone help me out here? |

disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, reconnect and start over. The Bosch +4 are the worst plugs I have seen yet for a rover. I have worked on 2 DII's that run like crap with these plugs in. |

Sulphur smell usually means bad gas. I would burn through the tank and fill up somewhere else and reassess. |

Thanks guys. I think I had a combination of bad gas and Bosch plugs. The power went out at my regular gas station and I had to fill up at a place I don't normally use. And since no one has recommended an alternative to the Champion plugs I'll stick with those. I'll go with an exhaust change and K&N air filter for that extra power I was seeking. |

I have the regular Bosch Platinum in my 2000 D2. I have had no problems with them. All the research I got indicated the +4 thing is just a bunch of hype. |
