Good Monday to you all! I have a 99 Disco II, which I replaced the thermostat on in July due to my mechanic saying it was "sticking" causing it to overheat, that ia overheating yet again! Any suggestions? I can't drive more than 3 miles without the red light beaming! So hear it sits in my driveway!

Did u ever take it offroading in muddy waters?
If so, run high pressure water about three feet from the grill and see if mud comes out.

carrie,
go to www.atlanticbritish.com-click on discovery-then look for TECH TIPS on the menu on the left side of the page--then go to overheating--
skip the thermostat part-you've already changed it-
good luck

This one doesn't make much sense
Open hood, with engine off and key out of the ignition, remove the top of the fan shroud an see if there is mud, signs of antifreeze leaks etc on the radiator. Those early d2 radiators were junk quality
Are you using any coolant? Check too for leaks
This overheating happens so fast I'm almost wondering whether the sensor is bad
Is the viscous coupling working?
