Ok so SWMBO is out of town this week, my truck is ready to come home from service, etc and I want him back
I can
1: Have a tow company flat bed approx cost $80 all in
2: renta a uhaul transporter $50 plus whatever they try to hook you for....
what would you do?

you can tote it around if the uhaul trailer is a flatbed with ease. or you can remove the drive shafts toss in neutral and pull it fine behind on a uhaul car toter . i would opt for the flat bed...then they are responsible.

So let me get this straight, you need to go and pick up your truck, because service is completed. Problem is, once you get there, you now have to drive 2 cars home? Why not just take a cab over?

Axels idea sounds like the most logical one to me.
Cheapest too!

If its at a dealership. They can send a shuttle to come pick you up from your house. Just ask the service rider if you could be picked up. Its also free

If it is a dealer they should be giving you a rental.

Not a bad idea, Axel....totally forgot to even think about it....probably assuming that I had the kids with me (way too young to be left at home alone)..
Found a better solution...shop took pity dropped it off at home...
