Finally going to replace the Michlins XPCs on my 95' DI. Looking at getting the Yoko Geolander AT+II. Anybody out there in dweb land had any experience with the Yokos? Any feedback would be appriecated especially concerning other tire makes

Thxs. Gregg

I had them on my 97. I was happy with them but they don't seem to wander at highway speeds. Switched to Dunlop Rover R/T and was happy with them. I think my next set will be a set of the Bridgestone Dueler REVO's

I have Geolander AT+2 and I wish I would have taken Ho and John's advice and just got the BFG's. Geolanders are crap offroad when its wet.

I've got 265/75 AT+2's on my 2001. The bottom line is, it's not a M/T tire. I've been really happy with them otherwise but they don't dig in slippery mud.

If I had the money ($1100 for five) I would get the BFG mud terrains in a heart beat. But at the time I needed the extra $500 I saved by buying Geolanders for other upgrades.

I love my Geolanders but... not in the slick stuff as well. In snow they are great.

Thxs. Jim, Dave and Leo...I'm leaning to the Geolander mostly because of $$$ to value...I'm sure the BFG's are top notch according to all the postings about them I've seen on this bb. but they are a pricey tire like the Michlins..Our DI is a family hauler, weekend trips up north, lots of winter driving. Needless to say I need bang for the buck. I like to make a decision in the next few days. I'm taking the DI out for it's first real off road event with the local Rover dealer this weekend. Mostly overgrown two tracks, hills and some mud holes. It's like trying to get one tire to do everything and I know that's not realistic. By looking the tread patterns it would seem that Yoko's would have more off road bite than the Dunlops but how are they on the highway? road noise? Thxs. Gregg

Dunlops R/T's are great in the snow/rain. I think they are the best all-around tire for the money. I too wanted the BFG Mud Terrains, but oppted to save a few bucks and use it towards other mods. I think R/T's are the choice all-around, then have a dedicated Mud tire for when it get's really muddy.
