I'll be pulling my passengers side fog light off this Thursday evening and attempting to repair. I have been driving the truck around with the light half filled with puddle water. I'll let you know what works for me. Hopefully I can get rid of the yellow stain. |

I did this last week. I just removed the light, pryed the lens off drained it. Watch out for the stink when you pop the lens off. Take the whole light apart, ever the reflector. Dry everything off. I used a clear silicone to reseal the lens, every thing seem to be fine so far. It not that hard just takes a little time. Good luck. |

Christopher try a strong degreaser like greased lightning or purple stuff. That should take care of the yellow stain. |

I followed CJ and Dean's words of wisdom and got my light fixed. It was nasty in there. I just sprayed the inner plastic with some degreaser and let it sit for a minute and then hosed everything off. I got rid of the yellow stain. Now, I'm just waiting for the silicon to completely set and then I will attempt to re-assemble the fog light tommorrow afternoon. The bulb appears to still be good shape, so I'm going to reuse it. On another note, Advanced Auto Parts told me that the bulbs for the fog lights have been discontinued. Anyone know anything about this? |
