Is there any way to ajust the rear door on a D1? My rear door seems to have a gap at the top and fits tight at the bottom. |

Are you hinges bent? My first guess would be to either replace the hinges or at least pull them off to straighten them. If there is a bunch of play in the hinge, forcing the door to sag, that would also lead me to believe the hinges. Look at the guide that goes under the door as well. Another thought... Could it be where the hinges are actually mounted? Meaning that where the hinges screw in, the matings could have been "opened up" for lack of a better description. |

As far as I can tell the hinges are not bent. The door is stright across the bottom (the gap between the bumper and the bottom of the door). It's almost like the door is bent, but I don't know how that could have happened. There is about a 1/2" gap at the top of the door, and it is tight at the bottom. If I pick up on the door while it is opened I cannot feel any play in the hinges. |

We loosened the top hinge on my door and then had another person pull up on the door while open and re-screwed the upper hinge in tighter. Even though my door was solid when tight, there was play when you loosened the screws a bit. Was leaking at the top and has been solved every since! Even before Isabel! They tend to work loose a bit after driving and off roading. |
