this question is for a 98 4.0SE I just got som bosh silber plugs,and the specs call for a gap of 033 to .35 but the sticker under the bonnet calls for a gap of .33 would anyone know what would be best?

Typically plugs are replaced because the gap widens due to wear of the electrode. Wider gaps are better for fuel ignition if the rest of the system puts out enough voltage to jump the gap. (Some newer systems have stock gaps .045" to .055"). If you don't like changing the plugs often go with the .033 which leaves some wear room. If you want a larger gap, upgrade the coil and plug wires.

service manual says "0.90 - 1.00mm 0.035 - 0.040 in"
