Does anyone know a way to open the hood when the cable is broken? Thanks Gus. |

Where the lever is, grab the cable with pliers and pull gently (but dont rip it out!). If that doesn't work, looking up under the hood lookse like a metal security plate protecting things, but its plastic and can be broken to access the latch. |

It wont help me any to pull it from the cable. The issue started when I was trying to put a new cable. I was able to remove the old cable but not to put the new one correctly. Now the hood is closed and there is not cable attached to it....what do I do???? HELP!!!! |

Is there any way to thread a screw driver or something between the grill and knock it loose? Or vice versa, pull sharply? As I'm sure you know, the release lever is dead center on the hood. Good luck, and I'll be interested in the outcome. |
