My rotoflex is shot again and I can pick up a complete 2001 u-joint rear driveshaft from a local wrecker for $321CDN (~$235US).
In the tech section on this it mentions a required spacer that goes onto the pinion before the new 4 bolt flange.

With this shaft and flange, will I need a spacer?

 Yes you will....

Its because the new 4 bolt flange is too short where it fits into the pinion housing.

Maybe somebody else can explain in more details?

Shawn, I have a 96 Disco also. I purchased an used, early RR rear drive shaft ($120).

Thanks guys, I discovered the 2001 had a rotoflex too! (crap!)

Does anyone know what model years of RR rear drive shafts I can use?

Thanks again for the info, I'd hate to screw up my ring and pinion.
