Does anyone have any experience with Delphi Lockheed Brake pads and rotors which are available at Rovers North? How close are they to OEM? Regards. |

Lockheed made the original brake calipers and pads on the D1. I wonder if Delphi bought out Lockheed? |

After a bit of reasearch, it looks like Delphi bought AP Lockheed in January 2001. According to the article, Delphi Automotive Systems is the world's largest Automotive supplier. I used to purchase the Lockheeds from Nathan Crabtree at Discount Rovers. He does not carry them anymore. The AP Lockheed brake pads worked just fine (since they are the stock item; just without the LR box and logo). Be sure to get the shim for the brake pads to keep them from squealing. Thanks, Mike B. |
