Have installed dual battery with isolator, but curious as to what wiring is required from the alternator to the isolator. Attempted just a positive lead, but no tach, and of course battery finally went dead. (no power off alternator)

its a WARN28022. My primary question is which alternator description the Land Rover falls under (bosch, motorola, ect..) I checked the Warn website to no avail.

Looks like a re-branded Sure Power. It's getting power from the alternator, it's just not getting out to the batteries. The isolator needs to be energized. There's a fourth terminal on the isolator - the smaller 'e' post. It needs a switched 12v+. I used the + side of the coil with an in-line fuse just to be sure. That should light up your tach and turn on the isolator.

Usual disclaimer applies :-)
