Hey guys, I just had this quick question. Recently, i've noticed that my brake pedal has gotten really soft for some reason. When I hit the brake pedal to slow down, the pedal just drops the first couple inches before it meets resistance. The brake pedal on my Disco has always been soft compared to the Freelander, but it appears to have gotten a lot softer for some odd reason. Even though it just drops the first couple inches when I touch the pedal, it still appears to be braking like normal, although i'm pushing the pedal farther than I have in the past. I've checked the brake fluid resevoir, and it's just a hair under the top full mark so I guess that shouldn't be an issue. I checked the fluid and it appears to still be in good condition.

The other question I have, is that i've noticed my coolant level dropping just a tad. After I had that coolant leak, I topped it off while the engine was cold from sitting overnight, and now over a month later, the coolant level appears to have dropped about an inch in the reservoir. I don't see coolant leaking from anywhere, but I still smell it, which appears to come from where the spilled coolant has gotten crusted and dried during the last coolant leak. I think both events started after my trip to the Land Rover Dublin event, but we only did really easy offroading. The 4ETC system got a heavy workout, and I did bottom out in a little mud, but it was only the transfer case and front diff that hit the mounds of mud. After I got home, I made sure I cleaned the rotors, wheels, and calipers with a hose to avoid messing up the rotors in case some grit got stuck in there. Any idea's? I'll probably be setting up an appointment to take it in later this week since it's better to have them look at it and be nothing, rather than wait to see if something will happen.

I did play around with the HDC system today on a steep driveway(don't tell the church I played on their driveway), and it appears to work just fine.

BTW, I have an 03 Discovery with 7k miles now.

One word....warranty.

Seriously, it could be a couple things, but with such a new truck, let LR take care of it. Just document your problems like you did here and go on in.
