Already slapped in 7 Oz of equal into my 35x10.5 Simex ETs, and they ride graet albeit for a 60-75KM judder... Anyways, I installed the valve that came with the bags, the one with the filter and the caps as well... What/Where the hell do the Yellow O-Rings go? |

The O-rings are simply to put over the stem to alert that equal has been installed. That's it. I tossed mine after I found out what they were for. Just make sure you inflate you tires with dry air. The material needs to be seperate to dynamically balance properly. If it gets moist with water or oil, it won't work to it's fullest potential or not at all. I wouldn't use anything else. Great stuff. |

Neil, Thanks for that useful information for some useless things... I guess I can use them for something else... As far as the air goes, I'm using a scuba tank to pump it up...guess there may be some water ingress, but at the amount of heat the tires get when I'm on the road, I do not think its an issue. Deflating from 36 to 8 is a bitch though, even with the Stauns. |

Nadim, Take a look at our Equal FAQ page at: http://www.expeditionexchange.com/equal/FAQ.htm I think most of your questions will be answered there, including your air down dilemma.

John, I have extensively read that page, even before I purchased them. I know for airing down it'd best plug in a few "pssst"s of air from the tank and then deflate, but that is still taking time...I reread the page a while ago about the yellow o-rings to no avail...guess I am a careless reader... |

if you are filling your scuba tank at a scuba shop, then the air is dry. scuba shops both filter (not purify though) and dry the air that goes into the tank. that is why after a long dive, beer tastes so good...;) mike |

Mike, I am filling them at a scuba store, however, its the condensation i get after that tends to be a wee bit wet. NOthing major in my opinion, the heat from the tires should take of that. |
