Check out fellow DWebber Charles Pastrano pulling a Ford F550 after it broke its drive shaft. Let it be known that Charles and I continued on the same trail with no issues... |

Good God Man! That truck is huge! I guess that qualifies you guys for an "Official FORD Recovery Vehicle" Sticker. |

Are you sure that was an F550? Looks like an F150 with big tires and weak axles. Not knocking you guys, just was curious, and you still deserve a sticker!!! -Luke |

Luke you're right...I too thought it looked like an F-150, however, the badge on the side of the vehicle read F-550, which he could have easily swapped out. Go figure. Anyway...Charles did a good job of pulling him out of his rut, however, a bit later an even bigger F-350 Monster came out to finish out the job of pulling him all the way back to camp...easily a 2 hour trip. We were actually cruisin' with the Hummerteam group...here are some pics: http://photos.adventureteam.com/katemcy http://www.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=67b0de21b3522ff72516

Looks like you guys had some fun! Those were two nice Rovers and you have to love the H1's. I will constantly be amazed at a fairly stock f150 with a crazy lift and huge tires, what idiots. -Luke |

It is a 150 on the outside. 550 have front end like a 250/350. Was it 2wd? Why would you need towing if you had 4wd and broke one shaft? Did he break two? |

He broke two shafts and a hub. He was several miles in the Katemacy rocks. I pulled him out of the trees and into the open area. His buddy in an F350 pulled him the rest of the way. |

I dont unerstand these 150's either. We came acriss one in a group in the pine barrens on 38" swampers. He got stuck in a mud hole that Dean Brown and I successfully crossed in 32" MT's and 33" AT's. he should have got a cheaper set of tires and a detroit. -Rick |

i was bored last night.....really bored and was crusing the local Ford dealership. i have to say the new Ford trucks are rediculously stupid looking. basically just a Ford Explorer from the outside. nothing resembling a truck as far as i can see. |
