Is there anyone within 150 miles of Charlottesville, VA that would be willing to meet me halfway to test fit 33s on a D2?

Contact me via email pls.

I've got a 2001 with a 3" OME lift (via EE of course) and 265/75 (32") tires currently. I'd be happy to try 33's but I can tell you that 4.10 gearing would be absolutely required for that.

Of course I'm getting 4.10 gearing in the next few months anyway . . .

Here's the deal: I've got OME 3", running 32" right now, but I'm going 4.10 anyway and I need new tires, so I'm thinking 33s again. I'm leaning toward a 255/85 on a 7" rim, 1/2 less backspacing than stock (the AR steelies).

I don't wanna hack my fenders and I don't want to rub everytime I stretch things out (ACE), so I'm thinking the skinnier 33" may work.

I'd like to get a set of 33s on, flex it out and check it.

Mike,
I should have my 33's next week. That may not help you since mine won't match up with yours. Where are you getting the wheels from? GCR?

James:
D2 different bolt pattern than D1. ALready have the wheels, they're my steelies from AB.

What tires did you end up going with?

Mike, if I'm not mistaken, the factory offset is 6.5", whereas the AB's are 5", so you are actually 1.5" farther out on each side. That being said, I don't think you'll have any problems. What shocks are you running, and are your sways still connected?

Aaron Owens is running my old 9x34 Swampers (actually 33.6") with no sways. We had to trim the front of his sliders about 3/4".

Keep in mind the size of his side lugs, plus I don't think the 255's are quite as tall.

Running OME N107/108 shocks. ACE truck, so yes and no on the sways.

Makes sense, the 255s I'm considering are 32.7 per mfg (TrXus).

Mike, I think you will be fine. The D2 rear wheel well fits a 34 nicely tucked. The front is a bit more challenging but you should be fine with 255s.

Aaron
