Check out this site. Couple of Rovers playing on the Rockgardens in Mineral Basin Utah. There is some serious boulder bounding in this challenge.

Andy - that is actually my rig. Eddie was paying more attention to the hot babe who was watching us when he was spotting me :-). Just kidding. I will give you the details later, but the rotoflex and muffler are toast.

Gotta watch the cute park rangers in that canyon. I remember watching a atv rear end another while checking out a cute ranger at that tibble fork reservor parking lot. What no h2's on your trail run?:-)

hey what gives?
wheelin' in our backyard with no invite?
oh the sorrow, oh the pain!!!!

i have to say that i think i've done the most damage to my D1 on that POS trail, than any other in moab.
looks like it's time for some more upgrades!!!
last time we we're up there, the ranger said some JEEP wingnut rolled and died at the top trying to connect to Albion Basin. at the top by the snowbird chairlift, it gets crazy off camber.
i suppose i should get off my ass and get up there before we get more snow.

Marc (& Andy too),

Sorry for the no invite. We literally put this together that morning. We did talk about you guys and sure wished you could have been there. Maybe we should do a repeat this weekend?

Andy - I will send you an email about the "other trip";)

BTW Marc - Your sliders were used for thier intended purpose. Held up awesome. Eddie & I now call them "slammers" 'cuz there was not too much sliding going on:-)

hey.. I am ready for this next weekend. Just need more challenges aside from the Rock Garden. GOLD ROVER NEEDS BODY DAMAGE, not paint scratches.

Eddie- yes it is kind of, but Mineral Basin is that big cirque on the north east part of American Fork canyon. Sorry I'm an anal mountain geography fan. Not that you really want to know but; American Fork Canyon national park doesn't extend to Mineral Basin. MB is in the waschatch-cache national forest. But the national park service maintains both areas. Other than going over the mountains on the south side of big cottonwood (by snowbird) you can't get to MB other than through AF canyon. Well at least by anything other than mountain bike or hiking boot.

LOL - I am in. Eddie - When Marc speaks of "little Moab" he is talking about a place near the Southeast side of Utah Lake. It is truly "little Moab" since it is only about an acre :-)

I would likely vote for AF canyon. We can explore some other trails and maybe Mineral Basin again.

Andy, I assume you were responding to the thread about driving Rovers OFF ROAD,(the girl who takes my money is really cute) Lets plan on sat morning then.
Curtis has a new bumper which has not been scratched yet. Thank goodness he cut the fenders off. Just ask if he has replaced the rotoflex..... I still desire a dent or something on the Gold Rover. Bear in mind, I have my share of Whiskey Dents in the past, so I am due a SOBER DENT... (just curious if its possible)?

YES, I meant to say.
Sorry I was having an odd day at work that forced me to document and explain ever detail to the maxium degree and in legal terms. When I posted that I was being driven insane. I really need a new job, I really sick of this one.
What time are you guys thinking? I could be game too, the whole idea of breaking things might not appeal to me though. :-)

8:30AM works for me best. I have a busy day gong on.

If we do Mineral Basin we could leave your rig towards the bottom. It would be almost impossible to guarantee that you would not break something. If you did drive it the hardest part is at the beginning. If we were really careful (and used winching) we might be able to get you through unscathed.

Andy.. Interpret that as "CUT OFF WHAT YOU DON'T WANT TO DAMAGE". Check out the NEW BUMPER. http://newkirks.net/images/october2003/193-9324_img_thm.jpg
In other words... LET GO!! as the EE guys say, PAH, Talk to the Hand

LOL ... "CUT OFF WHAT YOU DON'T WANT TO DAMAGE" Time to get out the cutting wheel, go for the mad max look! I could always leave it behind if it's too much trouble to get it through the bad section. Time should work for me.

You have no idea... I told his wife that "Marinera Colored" truck sustains more visable damage in the driveway than on the trail.
Thank goodness for the "Slammers". aka "sliders"

andy,
you can make it up the rockgarden.
there will be no rovers left behind!!!!

"sustains more visable damage in the driveway than on the trail."

that's funny, most of my damage is from Home Depot!?

Wow Jake. I sure appreciate the offer on the Rotoflex. Eddie had just bought a new one when he switched to a GBR driveshaft. It is sitting on my workbench just waiting to be installed. Hope I get to it before Saturday:-)

Now we just need to pick a place and exact time to meet.

Great trip today guys! I think I had more fun visiting after the hard stuff than I did going through it. Of course, my camerman said that I went through the Rock Garden so fast he did not have time to shoot me:-) Pics have been updated at:
