I saw in a magazine a Disco that was using wheel spaces to give it a wider stance. Does anyone have any experiences with this. Any drawbacks?? Where can I get them? |

Any time you add spacers and/or mount wider tires, you run the risk that the tires will no longer stuff inside the fenderwell. You may have to either add a much taller bump stops or cut out the fenderwells (or both). Another downside is that if the spacers are off center even a tiny bit you will get a shimmy. Also, spacing the tire further out from the hub adds additional stress to the lugs and the bearings. Thanks, Mike B. |
