Squealing when the engine is warm and the trans is in drive, or maybe also for the last half a revolution when the engine is turned to off? I have seen that before and have had some success with water pump lubricant. Available at most chain auto part stores. Or is it a growling like a bad bearing? Have you removed the serpentine belt and turned everything by hand?

I only get noise while idling, goes away temporarily with belt dressing.I did spin the pulley no noise.is that a bad bearing, and will lubricant only hide the real problem.

I'll keep that in mind as I'm doing mine tommorow.
I was told the fan and clutch will come off with
a rubber strap wrench on the pulley, and turning
nut between pump and fan.
