Does anyone know the actual algorithm the Disco 03 uses to engage the ETC? I tried to search on this topic but couldnt find anything that states the actual speed differences in the wheel spin and / or a time required (ie 5 mph wheel spin difference for 5 seconds). Im dont think the ETC is aggressive enough but maybe I dont understand what it takes to engage. Thanks... |

Hey Clay - the algorithm is this:- take one right foot and plant is heavily on the accelerator, wait, feel the sudden surge like a giant has kicked the Disco right up the date and proceed forward with alacrity. Todays math lesson endeth. |

Clay, Due to the competitive nature of the automotive industry; I think you will be hard pressed to find the actual algorithim that LR uses for the SLABS ECU. This is propietary (sp) information which only the software engineers at LR would know.
