I've talked to several people who've stated that 16" rims can replace the 18", and 16"s come stock on the "S" model. Now, I've been told the 16s won't fit the HSE model because the brake calipers are too big. I've also been told that OE 16"s from 99 on fit both D2s and RR 4.0/4.6. Who's mistaken?

Rupert I have an 03 SE and replaced the 18's with 16's and can't imagin there is any difference in the HSE's brakes. The OE 16's will fit D2's and RR 4.0/4.6 . |

I just put 16's on my 03 with ACE. They fit fine. Brake wise, I don't know of any difference between the SE and HSE models. If your not sure, put a 16" wheel on and check to see that your calipers clear. |

AFAIK, brakes on all '99-'03 D2's are the same. Regardless of trim package. P38 (4.0/4.6) Range Rover wheels are interchangeable with the D2's. |

Any wheel from a 1995-2001 4.0SE, 4.6SE or 4.0 will fit your truck as well as an 16in disco II wheel. The mirage style seem to be the cheapest used ~50 a pop. Ron |

I got the dealer to swap my 18's for 16' on my 03 SE the only thing that comes into play is the ACE because the taller walls on the 16 inch tires roll around more and can piss off the system but other than that it is all the same hardware... Ross T. |

Ross, 16" wheels come on ACE vehicles in other parts of the world. And lots of people have run taller side walls than that with ACE. I've been doing it for over 3 years now with no problems. |

Al, I stand corrected. I was regurgitating what the yoko at the dealership spouted to me. RT |

Al, the braking system on the 03 Discos are different, from at least the booster all the way down to the caliper. I cannot comment on the wheel sizes though. |

There isn't any difference in the brakes on an HSE. You can swap them just fine. |
