Just got a great deal on a set of Defender shocks with 5000 miles on them. The front numbers for a 96 disco are the same, but the back are differant. Bilstein says they will work on pre 94 discos, but not on later. Anyone know why? Can they be set up for my disco? |

The OME stock #s are the same for the Defender and the Disco. Anybody got a clue? |

Look and the car and see. IF they look the same and are the same length put them in. Bilstien could have different valving for them but I doubt it. Even if they do they would just be valved a little softer for the lighter Defender but will still work find and probably control vertical movement better than stock ones. FWIW l8r Todd |

Just put them in. The rear is the same length as stock ones, so the rear has the same amount of movement as before. Not a big deal since I'm not doing any rock crawling. |
