I'm not looking to chrome plate or head to a 'shine and show' or anything.. It just looks alot older under the hood than 43K miles, would like to clean up the engine area. Kinda sooty looking around plugs and exhaust manifold areas, plugs in particular look kinda rusty-ish.. Is there like a steam clean thing or a spray on chemical anyone would recommend? Trivial, I know, but I always like dirt and grime to be my dirt and grime... Jeff |

Maybe your first stop should be the carwash. I use the engine degreaser and get as much as I can with that first. At 43k, most of the crud should come off. Let the degreaser soak in before you hit it hard. I'm going to try a small household steam cleaner for the detailing (but I have a feeling it will be pretty weak for big jobs like this). Kenny |
