Are any of you running 245/75/16 on D2 rims (or any 8" rim for that matter?)

GY says the recomended rim size for the 245/75/16 rim is 6.5-7.5". i know D2 rims are 8"... so i was wondering if anyone was running them???? i mean how much difference can 0.5" make to a tire that is 10ply E rated????

I run that size futura MT on my D2 alloys for the street and they do fine. It looks like the wheel is too wide for the tire though IMO. Leaves the rim exposed to rocks etc.
