I went to Pepboys to pick up my oil filter and saw the Enforcer M/T 235/85/16 for $69.95 ea. Don't know how good they are but for the price I thought I would share. Oh, this is in Texas.

That's a great price... I checked my local Pepboys (Hackensack, NJ) and they don't have that price. It's $97 bucks each tire and they are actually advertising that as a special of the week!

They're really pretty decent tires for the money. I am on my second set on my Disco and really couldn't complain about them. Last time I got them they were running a buy 3 get 1 free. I wonder if they can honor that price here... hhhmmm

My guess for their lifetime on pavement is about 30k. They seem to have soft rubber compound, and work very well on the rocks - but melt quickly on pavement. Also, they don't seem to hold balance for very long.

Mine lasted for about 30 k miles, mostly pavement, only rotated once and balanced once at a place near me that does truck/tractor trailor tires, never a prob, They are load range E, 80 psi cold, i run mine at 60 psi, and at 20-25 off road, tough side walls!

if anyone is near Northeast PA...check out Hal Bond tire. I get all four of my tires for about $95. Sure they are used but in great condition and I have put about 30k miles on this set already and I know they'll last me through the winter. Now thats cheap!

How do these tires do off road. I am looking to get some new tires and wanted to get some opinions.

it depends on what "off road" do you mean.
they perform very well on the rocks, I'd even say they would outperform BFG M/Ts on the rocks.

They dig themselves in very quickly in deep snow and sand, which is just the result of mud thread pattern.

Do they clear the mud snow and sand out well, or do they just fill up and become slicks?

in my opinion tyler, these tires are not good for winter driving in PA, i had them for a few years. combination detroit in the rear and these tires made my truck very unstable on highway.

of course it rocked the party offroad.

if you are doing a second set of rims then the futura is not a bad winter tire offroad and summer time it is okay, but a little shitty on rain.

that said most mud terrains are not so good on icey roads
