My left front headlight is running very dim on my 95 D1. The right one is fine. Additionally, my parking lights won't come on when I flip the light switch to the first position, but they do when I turn the lights on fully. The last lighting gremlin is that when I do turn the lights on, the dash and parking lights will not come on immediately (the headlights do though) - but invariably come on after a 30-90 second delay. Any ideas on this one?

Thanks!!!

- Re: dim headlight -- check your headlight fuses. There's a fuse for the left dip beam that I'd bet you've blown for some reason. I'm at work so I don't have access to my manuals but it's in the fusebox under the steering wheel, check all four that are denoted with the headlight symbol.

- Re: Parking lights -- meaning which lights? Do your tail lights come on? Do the "little" bulbs in the headlights come on? I'm pretty sure nothing else comes on in the first position...

- Re: Instrument panel -- bad connection; where is beyond me but I'd guess near the dash somewhere.

Hope this helped,

Andy

Thanks Andy. I will never figure out this Lucas wiring. Turns out it is a dying light switch. I spent hours checking all the wires and fuses and everything looked fine. I gave up and took it in. They took apart the light switch, cleaned it a bit and now everything is fine, although I am guessing the remaining life of the switch is probably limited.

Cheers,

Todd

If your front headlight is very dim, like the little yellow bulb is only on then it might be the bulb. I got a new one and I haven't had that problem at all. Just an idea.
