Just wondering what the max tire size is on a 1997 Disco w/ no lift? I'm thinking 235/70-16, 225/75-16, or 245/70-16. Any thoughts on this? |

Steve I have Goodyear M/T 245 70's on my 97. No lift. Tires will rub if I go off road. On the street no problems. I do get a little rub from the when the wheels are turn all the way. This can be fixed by turns the steering stops out a little. I just back off if I feel the tire hit the control arm. |

Depends on the condition of your stock springs. I went with 245/75R16 w/o a lift on the '99D1 I had. I had to trim the front lip of the rear quarter panels to keep it from rubbing, but was fine otherwise. If I was doing it again on my own Disco, I'd go w/ a small lift and 235/85R16 tires. But, on the wife's, we have her shoed with 225/75R16 tires... FWIW.... -L
