...On my d1 95 V8. Black - cracked at seam. I think they have been complained about before on this site. I replaced it with a harder white plastic one - genuine. It is a little heavier. Hopefully it will last for longer than 85 thousand miles. Radiator itself is plastic too - modern technology! My dealer says that the radiator tanks are good for about 120 thousand miles generally. So there you go - just venting (as much as a D1 black expansion tank!) |

Mine shit itself at only 170,000 KMS. POS black one whilst towing an off road trailer up a steep hill miles form nearest town. Took the radiator cap off and drove for 200 kms no problems till I stopped, then I lost coolant. I also replaced it with a new White one. A common fault! Hence upgrade. Check your hoses also. Yeah - mine shat itself towing a 2 tonne boat. I changed all the hoses when I got the car a couple of years ago, flushed radiator and engine and replaced with new Castrol Ethyl-Glycol and 50% water - cant emphasise enough how this cheap bit of maintenance every few years (along with water pump when needed) makes discoing a more dreamy experience. |

My 95 has a split leaks when it gets hot but not a real problem I know I need to get on the ball and replace it. I thought 95 Discoverys did not have a plastic radiator. I had mine roded out a year ago don't believe it was platic but I could be wrong. |

Mine is plastic - heavy duty and looks for the world like steel, but the tap test with a screw driver confirmed what my dealer told me. Mine was leaking to a while too Finlandia man, but alas the boat pulling exercise brought it to a head - it needed to be presurised to keep temp down and cooling ability up. Cheers mate |
