I have one I rebuilt here if you are local to me (philadelphia). Shipping would be a PITA and $$$ so probably do not want to do that especially because I would want your old one as a core Ron

Atlantic British sells Ashcroft R380s for @ $2,000 without a core requirement. They're supposed to be a lot stronger than the factory boxes that came on the D1s. I've got about 30K mi. on mine behind a 4.6 with no problems whatsoever. For fluid I use Redline synthetic MTL (manual transmission lubricant) which is supposed to be a lot better than regular ATF. ---Norm I also have my old factory R380 "J" box in the garage -- the 2nd & 3rd synchros are weak but otherwise runs OK. Will sell cheap!!! |
