I'm replacing my transfer case oil tomorrow night. I'll be picking up some Hylomar to reseal the threads and I need to know how much oil to pick up. Anyone? |

I'm thinking it's just around 2 quarts. Buy three to be safe, when it runs out the fill plug, it's full Make sure you have a pump of some sort to get your fluid in there.. Adios..RS |

FYI -- re filling my transfer case took 2.5 quarts of 90wt oil. So purchase three quarts and you'll be in good shape. Use Hylomar sealant on the plugs. P.S. for those who don't know, the lower drain plug on your transfer case has a magnet attached to it. This allows for any metal shavings, etc. to be collected. I wasn't aware of it till tongiht. Pretty cool. |
