'97 disco. Just had diffs fully updated ARBs, GBR 4:10s, all new bearings, and GBR rear shafts. ABS lite is now ON. Now ABS issues, ever, before I'm afraid when the diff. shop pulled the front swivels out to remove 3rd member they damaged the cables for 1 or both ABS sensors. Both sensors are firm seated. The convoluted cover over the cables was already cracked and broken on btoh sensors. Now there is a larger gap showing. Is this just a simple case of $$$ damaged sensor(s)? or, is the ABS computer smart enough to detect the different gear ratio between the delta of the ABS sensors vs. VSS to detect something is amiss. I''ve never read this.

Probably just a damaged sensor. System cannot dtect gear ratio changes. Did the shop pull the entire swivels off, or pull the CV's and axles? Bill |

I'm sure they unbolted the entire swivel housing and just slid (or tugged) outward 3-4 inches. |

OK - just wondering, because it would be easy to disturb the sensor or have the CV bound upa bit upon install if it was torn down from the inside out. If the shop stretched a sensor wire while pulling swivels - that's on them then. Bill |
