Looking for some good Jeep forums for a friend that has a Jeep Wrangler and is starting to modify it. Any good sources will be much appreciated.

Alan, have your friend type "jeep discussion" into Google -- there are a million and a half sites out there.

- Pirates of the Rubicon has a Jeep area
- I Love Jeeps! is another
- Colorado 4x4 will give you more links

It's not hard -- the internet's got a lot of stuff out there!

What don't you understand Paul?

Thanks for the info Andrew and Aaron. That's the problem with Jeeps, too much information, just trying to narrow down some good sites that people have had good experiences with.

Alan, I was being a smartass. You know:

"It's a jeep thing; you wouldn't understand"

Alan, you might try these

www.jeepforum.com

and

www.jeepsunlimited.com

PS - I dont know why Jeeps get such crap around here. I think a Rubicon is probably the most trail worth mass produced vehicle, ever.

Alan - do not send him to the Pirates website unless he is looking to get eaten alive. those guys believe you either go extreme or you're not worth their time. i reccommend www.jeepsunlimited.com like Eric suggested. been a member there for over 2 years.

Thanks all for the suggestions. Mantaray, I have already warned him about posting on Pirates, will 31" tires fit on my stock YJ?

You guys make me blush.

Tonight it was pork shoulder marinated with a honey BBQ injectable and rubbed with brown sugar and red pepper with dash of chamomille.

Now Ron, of course you would not want to put your rig up against mine in an obstacle test. I have secrets in there that are even more sacred than my recipes:-)

Aaron,

I hope to get the Pig back today; well at least in time to go to SAE. Been driving a Darby for 6 days now.

I agree Eric and Jeep was already in production when Land Rover introduced the Series I at the 1948 Amsterdam Auto Show. However, this is DWEB and any other product is up for criticism. Again, my remark up there was to be sarcastic, not to strike a nerve. Maybe if I could fit in a Rubicon, I would own one. :-)

Coming from a guy who was bragging about a 200 foot rock garden.

Lay off the stuff in the power tank

"Coming from a guy who was bragging about a 200 foot rock garden."

Pah! Never once did I brag about the rock garden. Admittedly it is much more challenging than anything we faced at TH, but never did I boast. I simply suggested that some of our H2 brethren might not make it through unscathed.

However, I am serious when I say that your street tire equipped non-cdl DS2 would probably walk through OK.

Sounds to me like you are going to have to drive out to Moab and meet with us for some trail runs:-)

No problem, I am so there. Fire up the smoker, take a sledgehammer to furby and make sure Bennett "the boulder bouncer" Newkirk stays away from my truck

Now if I can only convince the sushi chef to come along.
