Somehow or other the vacuum advance module got separated from the distributor on my '95 D1.

Unfortunately (as usual) there is nothing in the factory service manual or the Haynes manual to show me how to put it back on -- I can't remember if this thing was riveted or bolted on.

Before I start tearing into this, can anyone tell me how to reconnect this thing?

Thanks,

Norm

Yep, I have a 96 Disco Australian spec with a vacuum advance . I think yours is the same set up.
Remove Distributor cap and rotor button and then unscrew the 3 screws holding the Flash plate and lift off.
Take the vacuum advance unit and feed it through the side of the Distributer body opening and hook the advance's lever onto the lug on the base plate inside.I just clips on nothing else holds it. The advance unit is then screwed to the distributer body.
