I'm considering a 95 LWB that is located several hundred miles away. The dealer seems to be straightforward and has supplied the photos I've requested. The question is, On the tailgate below the "G" in Range, right at the downward curve of the tailgate, is a bubbled up spot of rust about the size of your thumbnail. I know rust in this area is a problem w/Rangies. How localized is this likely to be? Is there an acceptable local repair or am I looking at a replacement? Costs? Any advice would be appreciated. I need to make a decision pretty soon.
Thanks,
Paul

anything can be fixed. question becomes to what degree do you want it repaired. that will determine the cost.

that is a very common area for rust to start by the way. if you catch the rust worms before they spread anymore, you might be ok.

as an example - mine turned out to be really bad when I was un-rusting my RR and even then it was repaired vs replaced.

something else to consider though is if this spot has rust, what other areas may have the same? strongly recommend you personally check it out before buying it. flights are cheap compared to what you could face cost wise with a RR.
