Sure, I am willing. The part I am providing is free of charge. I was nice enough to send my results. CarFax is an excellent service and deserves their fair share if you want more info. I mean, C'mon man. You are looking at a $30K+ truck. What is $20 or $25 to check out its history:

see how many recalls (or whatever they call them, some are called different things) and if it's 5, then that would be the 5 that they are talking about. The number doesn't mean there are 5 things bad. I payed for one for a Jeep and it only told me about a recall. I got ripped off, they made it sound like there was something evil I needed to know.A dealer would be able to tell you. Try the service department and try more than one if you have to.
BTW, I don't care if it's a $100K truck, no need to give your money away if you don't need to.
whats next guys, y'all going to stop giving repair advice because we should take our 'expensive' trucks to the dealer so they can get thier 'fair share'?
No hard feelings, I've been called a cheap bastard on this board already....

"whats next guys, y'all going to stop giving repair advice because we should take our 'expensive' trucks to the dealer so they can get thier 'fair share'?"

Don't be obtuse Lewis. Brian specifically asked for information that was proprietarily accumulated and distributed under a user agreement that does not permit its duplication of any kind. Working on your rig is a completely different area and covered by an entirely different set of laws. I personally prefer to work on my rig by myself.

I am not sure what you do for a living, but if you feel like giving your efforts away for free please let me know and I will make sure to exploit you any way I can:-)

Guys, Its not a big deal. No need to post or send me a darned thing. Especially if it breaks any agreement you have.

I could take the vehicle to a dealer, have them look up the information as well as do a complete check of the vehicle for only slightly more than carfax, so forget it.

If it was no big deal you would have just taken the truck to the dealer in the first place.

Imagine if you had just spent the $20 or whatever Carfax is charging. You could have had your info by now.
