Anyone out there ever have vapor-lock to the point where the truck is not able to idle? Last night, drove the D1 in a rather "spirited" manner on less than 1/4 tank of gas. Everything was lovely until I went to re-start it thirty minutes later. Truck turned-over fine, would not stay running. Drove home keeping the tach in the 2500 range. Once home, opened the hood, found no electrical reason for the malady, but then thought about vapor lock and went and turned the gas cap. Huge amount of vapor released - much more than normal - upon opening. Once this was done, the truck ran fine. I'm curious if anyone has ever had this particular problem, and is it indicitive of other issues - fuel filter, 02 sensor etcetera. Thanks in advance and cheers, e |

Erik, there was a recall on the filler neck for the tank, or was cap, or seal. I believe it had to do with emissions. Anyway you may want to check and see if your hardware is up to date? |
