with a group like 'Expedition Americas USA to Belize'? I applied and am all for it, but I thought people here might know stuff i'm not even thinking about. Seems like a fun little trip.

There are quite a few expeditions for charity. Nice way to do an expedition under the guise of a business and charity. Fund raising/sponsorship likely the hard thing.

my wife and the 2_4-paw drive Lab Rovers are also signed up for the trip.

Erik O. on occassion frequents D-Web. his site has recently been updated with more information.

we also think it should be a cool trip as Belize is a very nice Country. driving through Mexico could be boring, yet, it still will be ok.

I just got conformation from Eric, Me and the wife are going! Pretty excited about it. I feel the same about Mex., but boring will be better then frustrating....My last trip thru there kinda sucked.

Didn't look at the route, likely won't hit these areas, but there are interesting things to see. Copper Canyon, Casas Grandes and the artists of Mata Ortiz would back excellent visits.

Here is a pic of some of the pottery they make in that region. I went down there an bought them from direct from the artists. Now there is a big market for them.

Expedition Film Partners is pleased to announce that Expedition Americas USA to Belize will depart Las Vegas, Nevada for Belize on August 23rd, 2004. The trek should arrive in Belmopan, Belize not later than August 28th or 29th.

Participants will have plenty of time to explore the jungles and superior underwater activities once the expedition settles-in for up to five days. Scheduled departure for the United States is set for September 4th, arriving in Las Vegas on or about the 9th"
