Does anyone have cheap mods to get the TD5 Manual to carry the hills better, I'm talking highway speeds.
Does K&N really Help?
Does free flowing muffler and some of the exhaust to 3" really help.
Can minor adjustment to waste gate help?
Or is a chip the only way?

Allen

Welcome to Discoweb, mate. Good to see another down under convertee

You could go for the Safari Unichip - plugs straight in to your EMC. Get them from your friendly ARB shop.

There are others, like Bruce Davies (or Davis) Performance Landies in Sydney, who actually remap your EMC. These often tend to be better as they do increase power and torque but don't increase general fuel consumption. I have spoken to the guys at my dealership service centre and they recommend these over ya chip. The down side is if you don't tell your service dept, they may upgrade your software - right over the top of your remap...

You'll need to find a diesel specialist with a four wheel dyno. You could phone Berrima Diesel (also in NSW) and ask them for someone in Victoria that would be ideal.

And as Chris said, get a bigger intercooler (takes the cheap out of the equation though).

Good Luck, and let me know how you go.

cheers

gtt
