I'm getting 3" Rovertym springs and Rancho shocks. Also, Rovertym is sending me brake line extensions. The only other thing I need now is ABS extensions. Can someone tell me where I can get them from?

Thanks

Justin,
I have a 3" suspension lift from RTE also, nice choice. Contact Dave lucas, his e-mail address should be on the user list. His company is called Slickrock Fabrications, I think. He made me a set, did a good job too. Did you get all the new suspension components such as modified front radius arms, rear links, etc...? Steve does a good job at RTE, his slimline bumpers are outstanding too!

Good luck, Matt

Matt,

Thanks for the reference to Dave. I put in an order just now. I talked to Steve at Rovertym when I bought my lift, and he said the only things he wasn't providing were the ABS lines. He gave me the impression that everything else to do the lift was in the package. Is there something else I need to buy that Rovertym doesn't provide?

Lets see, you have the brake lines and now the ABS extensions. You probably will have to purchase a front driveline, I did. I got one from Great Basin Rovers, I really like it. The lift causes the stock driveline to be at to much of an angle, and mine vibrated pretty good at certain speeds. After I replaced it with the GBR driveline, the vibes stopped.
I almost forgot, the rear bumpstops are very important. I was so happy about getting my lift and putting it on, I forgot about the rear bumpstops. My new ranchos bottomed out and they were ruined. I got the 4.5" ones from "Energy Suspensions," contact Steve and I think you can get the part number from him. I was able to get mine from summit at a good price. Make sure you mount your Ranchos with the adjustment knob on the bottom. They say it can be mounted the other way (upside down), but I wouldn't. There are several good right ups on installing the 3" kit, just so you know you've covered everything.

Hope this helps, Matt

So is it pretty much a given that a D2 with 3" RTE lift has to have ABS extensions? :-)

Aaron,

Depends on what shocks you are running with a 3" lift, the standard OME shocks that are recommended for the DII should not extend enough to cause the lines to need extended, I have heard from several people that say they have had to free up some slack in the lines with the OME shocks, but they did not have to put in extensions.

If someone is running longer shocks than the OME shocks on a DII with a 3" lift, for example the ranchos that Rovertym has as an option with their lift kit the lines should be extended to avoid tugging on the lines or causing damage.

YMMV, but this is my experience with an RTE lift and from talking to several people with 3" lifts.

Dave,

I went to your website and ordered the package of ABS extensions. I don't have Paypal so I did the e-mail option. I guess someone will contact me by phone to get my credit card info.

Also, I ordered two sets. One of them is a mistake because my address was wrong, so I ordered again and put in the right address. I only need to buy the second set I ordered. I hope this doesn't mess you up too much. I moved recently so I still put my old address by mistake sometimes.

I was hoping to have them by Friday. Hopefully, we can work this out on the phone when you call. I will pay whatever additional shipping costs I need to so that they will get to my house ASAP.

Regards.

JRS
