This morning I start her up, 97 D1, and I hear water running/gurgling in the center console, right below the shifter and diff lock. When I give some rpm's it gets faster and louder. When the rpm's come down it's quieter, but still there. Ran for awhile and it did not go away. What could this be? Is it water, if so where is it coming from and where is it going? Any ideas... Thanks, Brian

check your coolant level. When the dicso was leaking radiator fluid, it dropped the level so that air was getting into the heater core making the bubbling sound. |

Probably is coolant in the heater core, but you have no coolant lines at that point in the console. The only thing there (below in trans tunnel) is ATF hardline running to cooler in rad. and I doubt you'd hear that. Bill |

maybe a clogged drain for your AC? Just get under your truck look up by your transmission near the firewall should be a rubber drain hanging there stick your finger up into it see if water drains out. |

I hear it quite consistently, always assumed it is just coolant going to the heater core. My coolant level is consistent, and full. |

Well...I checked the coolant level and checked both drains for the A/C and found nothing wrong. Then I go to start her up cold as I did the previous morning to recreate the issue and only heard a little bit of it and then it just went away. A friend of mine said it may have been air in the heater core purging thru the system. Just gonna keep tabs on it for awhile. Thanks for the replies. Cheers |

Sounds like the mice have installed plumbing.
