This decal came on my truck when I bought it:HRV
Its too great to take off, but I was wondering if anyone could provide some background on who produced these (besides LR-Discovery egroup) and when that occured. At the risk of starting another copyright infringment arguement I would also like to know if anyone would be keen on a reproduction of this decal that closely resembles the one pictured as I want to re-configure my decals so I was considering having one made.
I don't want to make any $$$ off of this but I figure if I'm going to get one made its just as easy to get a bunch and provide a decal that is a great 'conversation' starter within the Rover circle as well as with owners of other brands. That being said if someone can point me to who "owns" this decal I'd be just as happy to get it from them.

If you have interest post back to here and/or email me.
r-
Ray

This is like The Matrix -- we're going to go down memory lane to before DiscoWeb! When listservs ruled the internet! Someone find the Architect!

(I remember rec.sports.golf and others, and wish I'd been there from the beginning, when there was only LR-Discovery on EGroups!)

That sticker was created by Simon Arenas a few years ago.

The remaining stickers are kept by someone else at a secret location.

Actually, lr-discovery was not the beginning, it goes back farther than that. But, that is a story for another time.....

It is too dangerous to reveal the location. But I can tell you this: The Keeper's carriage is the color of the sun. Find him if you dare....

Ray and Jamie,

I emailed the keeper, he says he's looking for the fabled envelope containing the last known stickers. The quest continues...

Too funny.
Perhaps there should be a sequel, this time for the H2. Using a picture of the homemade H2 from the commercial where the kid goes straight down the hill and beats all the other 'normal' ones would be perfect...

Great commercial...except nothing breaks on his when he goes off road, so it isn't a true representation.

As for the sticker, I don't think you should have one on unless you can back it up by actually pulling out a Hummer/H2/Jeep/Whatever. Otherwise, you would just be posing in my opinion.

How about if we recover a Hummer/H2 as a "group project"?

I wonder if we could each earn a sticker or maybe we would have to cut up one sticker and divide it up to stick on all participant recovery vehicles??

I've got 2 of them. It was one of my first stickers. One is on Lucas, the other is on my monitor at work. Customers laugh at it from time to time.
