Hey fellow D-webers! Last night my wife was out with her friends and they were admiring my truck and wanted to take it. Well that came to a screaming hault when the passanger door wouldn't open. I tried to get the thing to work but I couldn't get it to. The remote works and the handle seems to be pulling a bit different. Has anyone had this problem? How can I fix it? Please help me save face with my wife. Thanks |

Front or rear door? If it is the rear check the child lock. If it is the front check to make sure the seatbelt is not stuck in the door. Also have you tried both the inner and outter latch? Some times the inner latch comes un-attached from the rod that actuates the door. JK |

it's in the Extra secure mode now. try applying pressure to the door while pulling the door handle. if that works, then you will have to adjust the door linkage. |

I had a similar problem and found that opening both the inside and outside handle at the same time worked as a temporary fix. |

It is the front passanger door. Would I have to remove the door panel to adjust the linkage or am I to adjust the linkage that scures around the latch? Recently the seatbelt was closed in the door so this may have been the cause. Thanks |

That has happened to me and I found that it was the plastic pin inside the handle assembly. The platic pin is white and is what pushes the assembly to an open position. I would take the inner panel off and inspect the handle assembly. It's an easy job once you get the panel off. Just two bolts hold the whole assembly on. Good Luck , Glen |
