Just installed a Rimmer S/C kit in my Disco 1. 4.0 with auto . Power is very nice, also went with bosch platinum + 4 and new injectors so it is majorly noticeable difference even without boost. My problem is that the idle hangs around 1K when decelerating to a stop. After about 15 seconds it comes down to 750 rpm. Wondering if this is the manual throttle stop which then gets adjusted by the computer to the correct 750 or if it might be something else I'm not thinking about.
little help please : )

Check your vacuum lines, one may have blown off due to manifold pressure. Also, at times when you pressurize the system it can take a couple of seconds for the vacuum to build in the system. If this really bugs you, you can install an aftermarket vacuum reservoir. I have supercharged almost everything with the exception of a rover. This is pretty common, especially when dealing with fuel injected applications.

Andy
Are you running the LR ecu or an aftermarket job. I have have set up blown engines and I can tell you you need to trash the the ecu and fit an after market unit like a Motec or EMS running TPS if you are really serious about making power.

Vacuum lines are all fine. It seems to be a little better now. The computer may have been in data acquisition mode and wasn't running great. I am still using the LR ecu. I'd really like to upgrade it though. I'd also like to upgrade the fuel pump but I haven't found much in terms of aftermarket for either of these. Especially here in the US. Not too fond of paying British prices either, spent 6 months in London and I got my fill of overpriced products and pricing.
